DIRECTIONS TO THE SOUNDSMITH FROM NYC,  ("near by" directions are at the bottom, before the maps.)

There are TWO ways to go – One is simpler but longer - and follows here:

From NYC: Take the West Side (Henry Hudson) till it becomes the Saw Mill Parkway, Follow the Saw Mill (for 20 minutes) past the Hawthorne exit, and THEN immediately get in the right lane; in a curve to the right, watch for the TACONIC PARKWAY EXIT  it comes up fast……(then follow below directions).

The faster route:

From NYC: Take the West Side (Henry Hudson) till it becomes the Saw Mill Parkway, Follow the Saw Mill and exit to the Cross County parkway. Once you exit STAY RIGHT, and take the exit for the BRONX RIVER PARKWAY NORTH.  Get in the middle lane, and go straight on to the Sprain Brook north – it goes about 15 miles and BECOMES the Taconic; exit as below for Route 9A north.

TACONIC: 1 mile after getting on the beginning of the TACONIC PARKWAY NORTH, exit for ROUTE 9A/ Route100 NORTH. Follow 9A (do not get off at route100) till the highway expands and becomes Route 9 at the bottom of a huge hill. Go about 6 more miles…..DO NOT GET OFF THE HIGHWAY. Exits BEFORE ours are: Croton-on-Hudson; Montrose; Welcher Ave and THEN Louisa St./Charles Point. THAT IS OUR EXIT.

"CLOSE BY" DIRECTIONS:

Come down the ramp, (if coming from the South, go left UNDER RT 9); that puts you on Louisa;  GO STRAIGHT THROUGH one light; at the next intersection, Louisa ENDS; GO LEFT on John Walsh Blvd.

We are the 5th building on the left, #8 John Walsh, a red brick building with a glass Atrium. There is a sign that reads "The Atrium at Rae Park" . Parking in front, take elevator to 4th floor. Suite 417. If you equipment is heavy, please come up first, and we will help you with a cart!

**** Please note; when returning SOUTH, go a slightly different way: Go SOUTH on Route 9, bear LEFT after bridge on Rt.9 (past Croton) following sign to Briarcliff. At TOP OF HILL, go LEFT at light on Route 134. Follow Route 134 for 2 miles till you can go RIGHT  on the TACONIC SOUTH (turn right just before overpass). The Taconic BECOMES the Sprain Brook with access to 287, or if you continue about 16 miles, access to the Cross County WEST (which goes to the SAW MILL SOUTH).

They Said What?

Is the industry half-asleep? Or are there other powers at work preventing Peter Ledermann's Strain Gauge pickup from being the most hotly discussed cartridge on the market? Either way, it's a scandal.
